Embedding videos

Embedding videos into your pagestrip publication is a cool way to spice it up a little. You can put any YouTube or Vimeo video onto a page.

To create a new video box, use the toolbar icon.

You can assign a YouTube or Vimeo video by dropping the video URL from your browser’s address bar directly on a video box.

Alternatively, you can copy and paste a video URL into the corresponding address field in the video inspector.

Dropping a video URL onto a video box Drop a video URL to assign it to the video box. You can also paste a video URL into the inspector. Much like an image box, a video box can also be captioned.

Once a valid video URL is assigned to a video box, you can always view it in the inspector. Additionally, pagestrip will automatically download the video’s poster image from the web in order to be able to display it before the user starts playing the video.

A video box with an assigned video A video's poster image is downloaded and displayed automatically. If a video is assigned, its URL is viewable in the video box inspector.
If a video's author has disabled video embedding for this video or their entire account, you will not be able to use the video in pagestrip.

Sometimes, the video hosting site can only provide a low-resolution poster frame. If you are unhappy with the automatically downloaded poster frame, you can replace it by simply dragging another image or image asset onto the video box.
