Adding meta data

Meta data include the cover image, story headline and the teaser. These infos are displayed on the landing page and are so said the first impression of your story. Make sure to be catchy :)

You have the possibility to define your meta data when creating your story in the pagestrip editor or online under pagestrip.com. Changing the meta data online is very handy as you don’t have to open and update the story for minor changes.

Please note: Once you’ve changed the meta data online it will not be updated automatically in the editor. If you update / upload the story again your changes in the cockpit are overriden. A double-check with the meta data online is worth it.

But now let’s focus on changing the meta data in the pagestrip editor.

Here’s how the story meta data view looks per default. Per default the story is always named “Untitled Story”. You have three different ways to rename the story:

The story meta data overview 1.Click into the label & rename the story title. Or 3. Type the titles into the labels. 2. Add a catchy story title and teaser.

To change the cover image you can either drag and drop an image from your finder, a folder or you add it from the assets.

Once your cover image is assigned you can mask the image, which means that you can use only a certain area of the image.

Masking the cover image Double-click the image or click "Edit Mask" to enter image masking mode.

In image masking mode, dragging the transform handles of the image box will not resize the box, but rather change the visible area of the image. You can also grab the visible part of the image to drag it around. Read more on masking images here.

Besides the option to mask the image you can also choose a square part of the cover image. This is what we call the “Focus area”. In most of the cases our algorithm fits quite well and recoginzes faces etc. automatically. Nevertheless you have the possibility to set it yourself. Find deeper infos about setting the focus area here.
